So, I was contacted recently by someone who graciously decided to compile my translations of the ShuuKura web novel into ePubs! I’ve decided to leave the download links here for anywhere that is interested in saving them. It looks great and includes the illustrations from the light novels, so it feels a lot like you’re reading the real thing (except my translations are taken from the web novel version).
Please note that WordPress does not let me upload .epub files, so unfortunately, I can’t create any direct link downloads for you all. Instead, I’ve chosen to upload them onto Google Drive (using a throwaway email address, so don’t mind the name). If there are any concerns over this or if you are unable to download the files, please let me know in the comments below.
(Also, I’m 100% sure I have a bunch of typos all over the place, so when you see one, feel free to leave a comment as well).

Huge shoutout and credits to Peeku for compiling these and making them look so authentic. Thank you very much!

wow it really looks greats! Also really puts into perspective just how much work you’ve put into translation, 2 whole books is a lot!! Thank you for bringing more Shuukura to the world 🥹

Ah, so there are only colored illusts actually, no black & white ones. But the files are still great for archive and reread whenever I like, so still much appreciated.

This is amazing, so cool. Really shows off your hard work. Does anyone know if there’s a way to open .epub files on mobile? Or can they only be opened on pc?

I figured it out. For anyone else who wants to know here’s how. You need the Google Play Books app, open the settings and then check “download .pdf files”. After that you can open the file you downloaded to your phone and it will give the option to upload it to Google Play Books where it can then be opened and read. Obviously this is for Android. Sorry I don’t know how for iphone.

My personal recommendation for reading app is ReadEra, the free version comes with abundance of features already, it can reads many types of file and no ads at all.

Thank you, I couldn’t get the second volume to work with Google Books so downloaded this one and it worked perfect.

Apps like FBReader and Lithium read Epubs just fine.

Anyone else having a hard time getting google play books to recognize and upload volume 2? Volume one works just fine though.

Interesting. I use Librera and it works fine on my phone, but I’m not familiar enough with .epubs to know what the problem with Google Play Books is. I’ll have to ask Peeku (hopefully I’m not bothering them, LOL). Thanks for pointing it out!

What’s also interesting is in the email notification I got of this post, when I clicked on Volume two link to download, it was the volume one file. And the volume one link was also volume one file. So I don’t get what’s going on. 😦
I had to go to the WordPress website to find the download for volume two, but it just seems fishy to me… like maybe the second volume upload corrupted? I dunno.

Actually, when I published this post, I accidentally linked the first volume twice, but I immediately edited it a couple minutes later. I didn’t know the email notification included previews, but the post in the email won’t update itself just because I made an edit.
… I thought I left no traces of my mistake, but alas.

Oh gotcha. Well I hope Peeku can help figure out why the first volume works on Android Google Play books, but not the second volume. I guess if it doesn’t end up working for me, do you get revenue from us seeing ads when we read on the site? Because hey, at least I get to support you and your translations.

I can’t reply further in the comment chain (WordPress, please…), but I’ve let Peeku know about the issue!
And goodness, no. I have a plethora of ad blockers, so I wasn’t aware you’ve been seeing them! Those are probably from WordPress, NOT from me (and I hate ads, so I wouldn’t enable any myself), so please use an ad blocker if you want! I consider your viewership as support as it is.

Yes, I had the exact same issue so I downloaded the app someone else suggested, ReadEra, It worked immediately with that one.

Just wanted to let you know the links have been updated. Volume 2 should work on Google Play Books now as well. It works on my phone, but let me know if you’re still running into any problems!
